response from the obama administration. there is only so much to you in do. a storm like this in new york, that is something we have not seen for a long time. there is certainly the earth -- possibility for people to say, rightly or wrongly, that the federal government did not respond appropriately. i have not seen any signs that any major figure in the republican party is trying to do that. unlike when some people immediately decided that hurricane irene would be the obama katrina. a couple people, including newt gingrich, suggested a quick response this time was at odds with the respond." pose -- at odds with the response posed to the staff in benghazi, libya. we will have to wait to see what the response is. host: final question for you -- how was this impacting the journalists that cover the campaign? caller: one thing that we are expecting an impact on, e-mail and electricity service in the washington, d.c. area. there are contingency plans for that kind of emergency. i am not the person in charge of that. we're going to continue to do our coverage as long as it is safe to do sohost:

obama administration would follow something along those lines after dealing with the fiscal question. tax reform and all the other issues. what about a romney administration? what sorts of promises, if any, have been articulated? >> scott, let me make it clear say there had ot been a proposal by the administration. they produced a long awaited white paper in january of 2011, which laid out three options. those options were a private solution, a government solution, or a hybrid solution. i'm not being very facetious here in saying that. so, we haven't will a proposal from either side. a proposal from either side. a proposal from either sidfrom either side. a proposal from either side.h a proposal from a a proposal from either side.d a proposal from either side. i would expect that a democratic would see some of the good things that the provided.ave three go back to my opening charts about how the mortgage market has changed because of that, and would want to keep something like them around. and i think that the republican administrati administration, if it came in, would want to go mo

obama administration, and i think we have had sufficient time to address the concerns. the fact is, the economy has not improved. we have averaged over 8% unemployment for the entire term of president obama's tenure in office. we have to continue to look for change, could change that will create those jobs and get this economy moving again. we will address the tremendous debt this country has, $16 trillion in debt, increased over $5 trillion under president obama. if we have another four years of president obama, our national debt will exceed $20 trillion. this is horrible to give to our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. we cannot continue on with these policies. host: one more call for you from gwen, michigan, on the independent line. victoria, you're on with mr. bennett of the ohio republican party. caller: good morning. i wanted to make clarification for a caller from earlier about the interpretation that republicans are against unions. it is not being clear enough to our voters that there is a giant difference between a private-sector union and a government tax-funde

obama administration, we have addressed concerns. the economy has not improved to the degree >> this is horrible to give to our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. we cannot continue on with these tax policies. >> one more call from you. >> good morning. i wanted to make a verification from a caller from earlier about the interpretation that republicans are against unions. it is not being clear and enough to our voters that there is a difference between a private-sector union in a government tax-funded union. in the private sector, the union leaders and the workers negotiate. in the government-funded unions, the union leaders take the news -- dues from the workers, support elected officials that they are interested in getting into office. the union leaders negotiated with those elected officials that are then paid for with funded tax dollars. that is why jfk was against the government tax-funded unions. i do not feel there -- there is a huge difference. people do not understand this. >> mr. bennett, i will give you the last word here. >> she is correct. not only was jfk op

an act of terror twice. some officials of the obama administration suggested that the united states had no indication that it was a planned assault. did you have any response to that? guest: i would point out that, several times the obama situation pointed to it being a protest that got out of hand. i do believe that the white house was not straight forward with the american people from the beginning. host: florida, on our independent line. caller: question to the chair person -- and why did the candidates go into the michigan or ohio area and to make a statement about relocating to china? and never retracted the statement or put out anything from his committee. every time he makes a misstatement, he never comes back and tries to correct it to explain the coup methodology behind that? guest: biden not get that question. -- i did not get that question. host: he had concerns he was raising about the truth telling of that. guest: i think it is clear that the president has not been a firm with china. we have copyrights and trademarks being piloted with china on a regular basis. we need
